Inspired by Japanese tradition, the Mount Fuji cocktail is a classic from Tokyo’s famed Imperial Hotel. Created in the 1920s through a collaboration between manager Shōzō Yamaguchi and chief bartender Noborifumi Ōsaka, this cocktail represents an elegant fusion of flavors with a touch of sophistication. The use of Old Tom gin, combined with subtle hints of maraschino and fruit, creates a taste experience that evokes the majesty of Mount Fuji. This traditional Japanese cocktail is a tribute to innovation and timeless elegance. 


Ingredients

  • 45 ml of Old Tom gin
  • 1 teaspoon of maraschino liqueur
  • 15 ml of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of pineapple juice
  • 1 teaspoon of simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh cream

Preparation steps

  1. In a shaker, combine all ingredients with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously.
  3. Strain into a pre-chilled cocktail glass.
